Creative, dynamic and motivated software engineer with a strong academic background, backed up by many years of experience in software development.
I keep up with the latest technologies, adapt quickly to unfamiliar environments and languages, and enjoy taking an analytical approach to hard problems.
Lately I spend much of my time on AI: using and testing new ways to make the whole software design and development process faster, leaner and more secure — from the best‑known agents, such as Claude Code and Codex, to open‑source harnesses and open models running locally or in the cloud.
I stay on top of what’s new in AI, using and testing new ways to improve efficiency across the entire software design and development process. Not only with the best‑known AIs and their harnesses, but also with open‑source solutions and open models — run locally or through OpenRouter and similar services — to research all kinds of development pipelines. Beyond LLMs, I also build ML pipelines to train all kinds of models for personal projects.
I use these languages to build applications, services and automation. The choice depends on what the product and team need.
I have also worked with these languages. They help me navigate different ecosystems and maintain existing projects.
I build repeatable deployments and keep services running. Automation connects infrastructure changes with the development workflow.
Storage, search and messaging are part of the systems I work on. I choose tools to fit the data and how it needs to move.
I build interfaces and APIs that connect products to their services. I work across the front end and back end as needed.
Automated and load tests help catch regressions before release. I build them into development and delivery.
I can work and communicate in Spanish, English and Japanese. These are my current levels in each language.
My studies gave me a foundation in software engineering, complemented by years of practical work and continued learning.

Away from work there is a longer story: how an island in the Mediterranean ended up leading me to Japan, and the places I have photographed along the way.
There is also room for what keeps me busy once the laptop is closed: the markets and algorithmic trading, the Japanese I keep learning every day, exercise, and books — above all on self-discovery and history.
I was born in Ciutadella de Menorca on 20 February 1978. Japan pulled me in from two directions at once: the modern one — technology, video games, manga, anime — and the traditional one — the culture, the temples, the language and budō, the martial arts. That curiosity never wore off: I finished my computer engineering degree and, with the ink barely dry, left to chase the dream of living here. And I’m still here.
I’m interested in algorithmic trading, especially forex and crypto. I follow the markets closely and study how to protect myself from currency debasement with hard assets that hold real value and carry no counterparty risk. I’m not a professional — it’s a hobby I enjoy learning about.
I’m still studying Japanese. I passed the JLPT N2 in 2018, and although I no longer study as intensively as I did then, hardly a day goes by without picking up some new vocabulary. Living here helps: any sign, menu or conversation can turn into a small lesson. It’s a language you never quite finish learning — and that is part of its charm.
I enjoy working out, especially strength training and walking. I believe in keeping body and mind in balance: after so many hours sitting at a desk, the body needs to move. My strength sessions are short but intense, and I do them at home with dumbbells and bodyweight exercises (calisthenics). Strength training has also proven to be one of the most effective habits for ageing well.
I enjoy books on self-discovery: they help me understand how I think, how I make decisions and how to keep my balance day to day. I’m also very fond of Spanish history, especially the history Spain shares with Spanish America — centuries of common past, a shared language and a culture that still connects millions of people on both sides of the Atlantic.
